There are currently only very few bioethanol kits adapted to the European market, or produced in Europe. Most of these kits currently come from Brazil and their main commercial argument is that in Brazil, 70% of the cars run on bioethanol (Flex-Fuel Vehicles FFV). Despite the fact that this statement is true, it has to be considered that on the Brazilian market, most car manufacturers are equipped from factory as FFV, and not equipped afterwards as it is in Europe. This is a requirement on the Brazilian market. Otherwise these cars would not be sellable. The remaining 30% is mainly made of diesel vehicles and trucks.

The post installation of bioethanol kits is therefore relatively small in Brazil, most cars being FFV from factory.

The consequence is that there has not been done much investment in the development of post installation bioethanol kits, and the technologies in this domain evolved very little so that many bioethanol kits on the market are technically obsolete and do not respond to our European quality standards. This starts with the connectors and the electronic module that are not waterproof. It has to be considered that this is not something mandatory in a country where cars do not encounter much rain and where winters are relatively mild.

The European Union and its member states decided for environmental reasons to promote renewable energies and took Brazil as the example in order to develop and adapt Brazilian technologies and techniques to our European territory. The Fuelcat products are produced in Europe (Germany), which saves a lot on the transportation costs. It also allows big savings on taxes and custom costs.
this gives us the possibility to offer bioethanol kits of the highest quality at very attractive prices.

Our objective is not to produce just another “made in Germany” version of the bioethanol kits available on the market. Despite the fact we are able to produce at very low prices because of the reasons given above, our objective is to produce kits with standards of quality much above the other kits on the market, while keeping lower prices.

With this objective in mind, we use exclusively warterproof connectors, and the electronic is also waterproof, as it is completely sealed inside the box. The fact the electronic is fully sealed also improves the cooling to maintain the electronic at its optimal functioning temperature.
A Fuelcat kit will net let you down after an engine wash or after a strong rain.
 
While kits of the Fuelcatcommander and Fuelcatmanager series are designed to adapt to a large panel of vehicles, our aim is also to produce bioethanol kits that adapt to some vehicles and injections specificities in order to take advantage of the technological evolutions and technical specificities of each model.

In order to test the polarity of the injection, each bioethanol kit is delivered with an easy to use polarity tester. With its two LED (red and green), you’ll be able to know the polarity (normal or inverted) of your injection. This will allow you to ensure your kit is adapted to the technical specificities of your vehicle. Each Fuelcat kit is also delivered with a detailed documentation.

With a switch to be installed at the dashboard, the driver can easily switch between Petrol and bioethanol modes. A green LED placed at the center of the switch is on when running on bioethanol mode.

An important clarification concerning the “so called” automatic kits that are supposed to adapt automatically to the ratio of Petrol and Bioethanol that you have into your tank using the signal from the lambda sensor.
This affirmation is not correct. The Lambda sensor can measure up to a certain level some parameter of your exhaust gas parameters, but cannot evaluate precisely the ratio between petrol and bioethanol.
Because of this, considering the current state of the technology, we prefer to maintain the switch in order to optimize the functioning of the engine according to the fact you have mostly petrol or bioethanol.

You have to know that if you leave the switch on bioethanol mode (green LED on) and drive from time to time on petrol, then you’ll have a behavior of your kit relatively similar to an automatic kit which price is usually in the 500 € to 600 € range.

Fuelcatmanager and Fuelcatcommander kits differentiate according to the number of cylinders of your vehicle.

About bivalent upgrading for carburettorvehicles we think tenderly too, but considering the big development potential for engines with fuel injection it is absolutely secondary.
